Position title: Volunteer Support Assistant/Travel Expeditor

Position Overview

Acts as the principal liaison between Volunteers/Trainees and PC/Mali
Administration. The VSC/TE is responsible to ensure that all PC/Mali

Policies and procedures are maintained current and communicated to all

Relevant parties. Repports to the AO and works closely with the Financial

Specialist and Program APCDs toassure proper administrative support to

All Volunteers. Distributes PCV quarterly and settling allowances, a well

As, reimbursements.Maintains PCT and PCV files and volunteer database.

Also coordinates with the General Services Officer (GSO), PCV Vehicles

Coordinator. Executive Secretary and Drivers as necessary. Acts as a negotiator and liaison for leases, utilities and commercial bank relations.

Arranges Importations and customs clearances and exonerational of all

Peace Corps official and staff effects. Responsible for international travel for staff, medevacs, PVCs and official visitors.

Qualifications

Qualifications, skills and attributes required to perform the post include:

EDUCATION – Completion of secondary education, some collegiate education desirable

Work Experience  - Three to five years progressively responsible experience in related areas.

Language Proficiency – read, write and speak fluently in English and French.
Excellent knowledge of a Malian national language.
